Now is 3.30am in the morning Monday~~~what am i do?? sleeping~~WRONG~~I am going to do the 2nd poster~~~but i think the 1st is kind of ok~~~i can submit it already~~but i want to try another 1~~which means i going to do 2 posters but only can choose 1 to submit. and.....WHICH 1 should i submit 1st or this???

the poster layout have changed~~~so here is the format that i going to use~~~ Actually is kind of some as my 1st poster so~~i didn't go draw it in sketch~~i just add some words and delete some of the parts~~~i straight away try it at illustrator~~so~~sorry ya~~~

~~~THE 2ND POSTER~~~

HERE IS THE STEPS

STEP 1

I use "RECTANGLE TOOL" and "GRADIENT"(color orange n light yellow) to create the sky

STEP 2 Same as STEP 1 but the color i change to dark blue and light blue to create the water

STEP 3
Then, I use "FLARE TOOL" to create the sun

STEP 4 remember this part??? yes~~is a part of my assignment 2~~i copy and paste here~~

STEP 5 Once again, remember this part?? YA!! IS the GLOBE from my symbol~~i use it as the base~~~

STEP 6

I put the both parts together and form icecream like globe representing iceberg~~

STEP 7 Welcome Back my Skull~~i trace it using "PEN TOOL"~~

STEP 8 I put it at the center since it is the main focus~~and white in color to show it is a hidden danger~~

STEP 9 I use "TYPE TOOL" to type the word "Stop The Melting of Iceberg"

STEP 10 This is the part i USE ALOT OF "TYPE TOOL" and TIME to arrange and finish this part~~~

STEP 11Later, i select the words "gone for good and", "our soul will be" and "taken away"~~and put "NO BOARDER"~~~

STEP 12After all is done, I copy in my symbol~~

STEP 13(FINAL)

okkkiee~~~i saw many of my friends have already started~~so i also start. Since i draw my sketch out already, i ask myself why not i start now?? plus the deadline is coming Tuesday~~so i started~~~and i wanted to said "Welcome back my skull head"~~due to assignment 2 deleted it~~i plan to do all my assignment have skull but cannot~~so never mind~~assignment 3~~it is BACK !!!

~~~THE POSTER~~~

~~~MEANING OF THE POSTER~~~

This is my final poster with title ''Stop The Melting Of Iceberg''. This poster is design for people who are between the age 17~30. The objective i design this poster is I want to let audience to realize that the iceberg melts are very dangerous and it can destroy all the country included us, The Human Race. Beside that it can also effect our future and can cause us to have no place to live or even die or make human disappear from earth. Before that tragic happen, we must do some prevention which is STOP THE MELTING OF ICEBERG !!!

HERE ARE THE STEPS:

STEP 1 I use "RECTANGLE TOOL" and "GRADIENT"(colour is orange and yellow) to create the sky~~

STEP 2 Again~~I use "RECTANGLE TOOL" and "GRADIENT"(colour is light blue and dark blue) to create the water~~~

STEP 3 Then, I copy in my assignment 1 which is my logo~~

STEP 4

After i put my logo in the center, I copy in my assignment 2 the melting iceberg~~

STEP 5I create another melting iceberg(assignment 2) by using "copy and paste"~~~

STEP 6 See the big skull head~~~i trace it by using "PEN TOOL"~~~

STEP 7

Later i place all the picture i did just now to its place~~and the opacity of the skull head i put as 30%~~~

STEP 8Later, i use "FLARE TOOL" to create the sun~~~

STEP 9 After all my pictures are on its place~~i use the "TYPE TOOL" to type my words~~and put it as red colour~~~

STEP 10

Place the word on it position~~

STEP 11Again~~"TYPE TOOL" to type the words but this time i use more time~~to resize the words~~~to make it like it coming from far away~~(small to big)

STEP 12 After i put the words on it position~~i change the colour to white so that we can see the white word clearly~~~hahaha

STEP 13(FINAL) And WALA~~~my poster is DONE~~~

Assignment 3 's Title: Stop the melting of the iceberg.

Project Objectives:

The main objective of doing this poster is to tell all the public to be aware to the disaster created by global warming. The global warming have many area and i choose the melting iceberg area.

Let me re-call back what have i done. In assignment 1, i have done a symbol with a skull, a fire and a globe. My symbol has the meaning of the Earth is burning and the skull is flying out the globe because globe have not enough place for the water of the melting of iceberg. Then, Assignment 2 is the iceberg which is melting. The meaning is the iceberg will be very dangerous when it keep on melts. As for Assignment 3, I will go create a poster with iceberg like the skull shape iceberg and will add some fire shape iceberg floating on the water. The meaning is telling all the people in this Earth try to stop the iceberg from melting or else the iceberg will melt and destroys us, The Human Race.

Approach:

~My area is melting of iceberg. As for my assignment 3, the title is "Stop the melting of iceberg" which i plan to use everything i have done in Assignment 1 and Assignment 2 to be in my poster. Actually this is the suggestion from my lecturer. So, i follow her suggestion.

~First, I will use the pen tools to trace the iceberg from the references i found in the Internet. So, i will spend a lot of time in using this "pen tool" to get the best shape in the poster.

~Gradient Color System, this will be the color system i use the most.

~Eyedrop Tool, this tools i will use the get the original color from the reference i have.

~Some other effect like "Gaussion Blur" and the percentage of the function call "opacity" which can make the particular shape become like transparents.

~My Skecth will be uploaded tomorrow because the 1 consult to the lecturer already lost. So, i will redraw and upload as fast as i could.

Roles and Responsibilities :

-On 16 August, actually i have planned to start my Assignment 3. But i kind of use-up all the idea in the last assignment(1 and 2). So, i go to have some background reseearch in the Internet to get new idea.

-On 20 August, I done with the research but the idea still didn't pop-up in my mind. So, i have to SOS in MSN to get some idea from my cousin or my old school friends.

-On 26 August, after i have my presentation for my group (C2). Got some idea pop-up in my mind. So, i just draw some the skecth and straight away show to the lecturer. After the consultation with lecturer, a lot of new but blur idea comes to my mind. So, after class i have my head spinning and i will upload all the skecth i have into my blog(don't know why now cannot maybe is internet problem)

-I can swear this to GOD. I WILL PASS UP MY ASSIGNMENT 3 AND UPDATED MY BLOG ON TIME !!!

phew~~~lucky me i can finish up my symbol~~~since i have the time i will talk about my symbol~~~i total make 3 symbols~~~

The 1st symbol is like this~~but it looks like a pokemon named "Lugia"

so i change to the 2nd symbol WITHOUT asking the teacher's idea(1st symbol oso didnt ask la)

I finish colour the symbol plus all my friends said it was nice~~and then my teacher tell me tis............ "DRAGON IS AN ANIMAL !! Why the skull is like flying out???

Easy~~i do the skull flying out cuz if the global warming keep on continue like tis~~1 day the earth sure become no land and juz have water~~tatz why i put the skull fly out~~in short means NOT ENOUGH PLACE FOR THE WATER OF THE MELTING OF ICEBERG !!!

The background is juz the globe and the flame~~~Globe juz represent the earth~~~and the flame is representing the flame of the global warming or the heat we now having in the earth~~nothing much can explain with this 2 things

~The 2nd and LAST step of the journey~

Fuuuyohhhhh~~~~i finally done with my symbol after the skecth is upload~~let c~~~when i upload my skecth is 10pm~~~now is about 10am~~~OMG!?!?! 12 HOURS !!! no wonder now i sooo hungry la~~~eham~~okie okie cut the crap~~go to the real topic~~

After 12 hours of drawing in illustrator and print screen~~here is all the step of my work~~~

STEP 1 1st~~Open illustrator(need to state meh??)~~then i open my skecth in the illustrator and start to draw the flame as same as my skecth with the "PEN TOOL"

STEP 2Later i finish with my flame~~i copy and paste to create another 1~~this 1 i use the "GAUSSIAN BLUR" that locate at "EFFECT" bar~~~to make as a shadow~~

STEP 3

After that, i group both the flame together~~~c the flame have shadow~~haha~~den i use "PEN TOOL" to draw a....shape tat also act as a shadow~~but is front 1~~

STEP4 After my flame is group and i move it beside~~and start drawing a circle with the "ELLIPSE TOOL"

STEP 5

Once again i copy and paste create shadows~~but this time is double shadow~~both copies of the shadow circle are undergo the "GAUSSIAN BLUR" to make it show as a shadow~~

STEP 6

After grouping the circles~~i draw a small circle with the "ELLIPSE TOOL" and rotate it with the "SELECTION TOOL"~~

STEP 7 This is the one of the HARDEST part to draw~~the melting part of the circle~~i use "PEN TOOL" to draw this~~~and 1 of the small circle is use "ELLIPSE TOOL" and u c the 3 small shape inside the melting?? ya~~those 3 undergo the "GAUSSIAN BLUR" effect~~

STEP 8 Once again i copy paste the melting and undergo "GAUSSIAN BLUR"~~~(oops~~my friend nudge me~~)

STEP 9

After grouping~~~the melting of circle is form~~

STEP 10

HERE IS THE HARDEST PART TO DRAW !!!(approx use up 2 or 3 hours of the 12 hours) As u can c~~i use the help of a photo of a skull~~i trace it by using the "PEN TOOL"~~

STEP 11

Once again, i copy paste the skull and undergo "GAUSSIAN BLUR" to make a shadow effect~~(u bored watch this sentence again~~again and AGAIN???)

STEP 12 Well~~after the hard part to draw the skull~~after i group~~i saw 3 perfect pictures~~and it time to COLOUR !!!

STEP 13 After putting the skull and circle beside~~i colour both of the flame with orange and yellow(using the "GRADIENT")

Then i group the both flame together and c the effect~~

STEP 15 Later i put the shape i draw and lighter it with the "OPACITY" function~~i put it as 26%~~

STEP 16 After the flame is done~~~i colour the circle~~1 shadow circle and the shadow melting shape as black and another 1 is using "GRADIENT" merging light orange and green~~the original circle is also using "GRADIENT" merging green and light blue~~~the melting is also undergo "GRADIENT" merging dark blue and light blue~~~

STEP 17 Then i group it all together~~~

remember the skull and its shadow?? Here goes~~i put the shadow as black~~and the skull is dark blue and light dark blue using "GRADIENT" to merge it~~~

STEP 19

Then i group it~~and saw 3 colourful picture~~~and some of the white shadow part of the shadow skull i push it up so it looks nicer~~~

FINAL STEP !!! STEP 20After the hard drawing~~merging colouring~~~WALAH~~~my symbol is done~~

Once Again(again?? = =)~~~i wana said thank you to you who view my blog and watch this~~it kinda long but i need to post it cuz it my job !!!

After the thinking~~~the "banging head onto the wall"~~~i finally get an idea to skecth out my symbol~~~i juz post up the final skecth the other skecth is like "destroyed" already~~~cuz tat time veri veri veri veri tension~~~soo soli ya~~~

HERE GOES MY SYMBOL: Yupzzz~~~is a skull there~~~the fire shape behind represent the hotness of global warming~~~the circle tat melt of cuz is represent the earth melting~~and the skull is representing the iceberg~~~

Why i draw the skull out???

It is because the iceberg is a dangerous item~~~once it melt~~the sea level rise and this will cause some land or country to be overlap by sea water. This will also cuz people to die~~

so the skull is best represent the iceberg melt~~c i also draw the skull like melting~~

Okeyyy~~~let me re-explain the meaning of global warming~~~

Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation.

Due to the global warming,the sea absorbs heat from the sun, while the ice largely reflects the sun rays back to space. Thus, retreating sea ice will allow the sun to warm the now exposed sea water, contributing to further warming. The mechanism is the same as when a black car heats up faster in sunlight than a white car. This albedo change is also the main reason why IPCC predict polar temperatures in the northern hemisphere to rise up to twice as much as those of the rest of the world. In September 2007, the Arctic sea ice area reached about half the size of the average summer minimum area between 1979 to 2000. Based on the accelerated loss, predictions are that by 2030 the Arctic could be ice-free part of the year.Also in September 2007, Arctic sea ice retreated far enough for the Northwest Passage to become navigable to shipping for the first time in recorded history.The polar amplification of global warming is not predicted to occur in the southern hemisphere.The Antarctic sea ice reached its greatest extent on record since the beginning of observation in 1979,but the gain in ice in the south is exceeded by the loss in the north. The trend for global sea ice, northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere combined is clearly a decline.

This cause the iceberg to melt~~~my area of global warming is melting of iceberg~~~hehe

~A NEW Journey to The Next Symbol~

Ladies and Gentleman~~~as u see~~~my symbol had reach the final step~~~BUT~~~due to some rules that i forget~~~i nw need to......RE-DO MY SYMBOL !!!
so~~never mind never mind~~~cool down cool down~~i have brainstorm my brain after the CG class~~~when i eat....when i bath..... when i dreaming....and even when i sleep....i still brainstorming how to make another symbol~~~
Once again...i open msn messenger~~(YES !!! SOS AGAIN !!!)~~this time my cousin can't give me the idea~~~so i kind of out of idea but i look over my blog(this blog)~~~i found an idea !!!
Since we can't use the globe and animal shape(rite??)~~so i gona use A SKULL melting~~~and my dragon will go "sayonara". Now i gona plus up more fire surrounding the globe~~maybe~~~so i will be sketching rite away~~~so all be patient~~~i will upload ASAP~~~cuz DEADLINE IS NEAR !!!
i won't use many time to re-do my symbol 1~~~cause now i m RUSHING all assignment already~~add 1 mo subject~~na~~no problem~~~if i wana be a successful people i need training now(rite???)~~~lolxz

Well~~at the last post i said i will be using the dragon with circle and a Chinese(or English) word inside rite???

Now, i kinda change my mind after i watch "Bleach" comic(for the 10th times), although i watch it ALOT but i didn't go notice this symbol after this assignment comes i kinda notice it already~~ To those who got watch "Bleach"~~sure know this symbol one rite??

Its a skull cover with flame~~so i think i will put picture instance of a word~~cause people loves picture(rite??)~~i gona use the flame but not the skull~~~i will replace the skull with a globe

The globe will be looking like this:

I kinda think i will make the globe looks sad~~but i still need to wait until i get my hands on the "adobe illustrator" 1st~~~or maybe try my luck at "computer graphic" tutorial class~~try to draw a dragon shape and the flame with globe inside~~(although i can draw out already)
After skecthing a new symbol~~~it will look something like this:

I did this at my friend's computer~~he have "adobe illustrator" and this is my 1st try~~and i have help from him~~haha~~see the globe looks sad~~but i gona modify the symbol if i get any idea(need to watch "the war of dragons" to get new idea)

P/S:The title there i will keep on using until i start draw my symbol at "illustrator"~~it means this symbol is not my final symbol~~it maybe the final but not yet~~so~~the title will keep on increases the word "final" until i put "ultimate final"(with the word "ultimate" in front of the "final"~~it means i gona USE the symbol for this assignment)

So....wait patience and i will keep on drawing new symbol or modify my symbol~~

Phew~~after having my lunch~~~letzzz continue~~

okie where did i stop at?? ya~~~i was talking about want to put what kind of word inside the circle rite???

after my lunch~~no~~during my lunch~~no~~i mean waiting for my meal to serve~~i was sketching~~~but i can't figure it out~~which one to use~~what a headache there~~~at this time, my meal is serve~~so EAT LOR~~~

After eating~~i walking back to my room~~~i thinking i going to use the chinese word but the point is....HOW I TYPE A CHINESE WORD IN ILLUSTRATOR !!!

Thats why i change my mind~~~i use english~~if i can type chinese in illustrator~~i will use chinese~~~cause chinese word is nicer then english word(i think.....) Here is the skecth~~eham~~the little ice cube there~~i will be putting him in my symbol too if have space~~hahaha

okeyyy~~the next step is~~GET MY HANDS ON THE ILLUSTRATOR INSTALLATION CD AND START DRAWING !!!(i didn't have illustrator in my computer yet thats why i can't start drawing T.T)

At my previous post, i was using a circle and a dragon wings to be my symbol(rite??)~~~and then this event comes to me~~~

Yesterday, i was going to LowYat Plaza with my cousin and his friend~~~when we are in the bus~~~i was kinda tired so i slept for a while~~~while we arrive at KL Central(where the bus stop suddenly) woke me up~~i saw a trailer of one movie in the TV inside the bus~~~the trailer of the movie is "War of The Dragons" and i get another NEW idea~~

So, when i get back to room~~~i done some research on the movie and found all kind of dragon and found some old film that have dragons too~~~So, i hurry sketch out another symbol~~and it came out like this and i like it !!! Sorry for the center is blank~~~i was thinking either put a Chinese word(冰) or an English word(ICE) inside there~~~i will think about it after my lunch(yes~~~i type this with an empty stomach)

So, excuse me for a while ok?? After my lunch i will post another one to continue my report here~~~sorry~~~

Well~~~i did all my sketches in class especially media appreciation class~~~

let me tell you the process of thinking out my symbol~~~

At first, i was drawing "hitsugaya toshiro's dragon wing"(the last and 2nd last picture of the post) and it appear to be NOT a symbol but a picture~~~so i was kinda out of idea~~~so i open msn messenger and get my friends to give me some idea(yes~~i ask for help~~SOS !!!)~~finally my cousin give me an idea about a big ice dragon melt into a small ice dragon~~which leads me to my current symbol~~so i just use a circle with dragon wings for my symbol~~~

actually~~i am drawing the earth(the circle) covering with flaming dragon wings(basicly is the wings)~~so the wings is represent the flame of global warming and the center of the earth will be a letter "冰"(which means "ice" in english) and it represent the iceberg of the earth~~~i planing to make it like melting so that shows the melting of the iceberg cause by global warming~~~look at the third picture of my sketches i plan to draw a devil and angel wing to my symbol but i cant explain the flame of global warming so i just have to get back to my dragon wings~~haha

okeyy~~~enough of the details~~~because a picture shows a thousand words(rite??)~~so here is my skecthes~~~and i going to use one of them as my symbol for the assignment~~~so don't steal my idea ya~~although it looks weird~~~hahaha

How to start this post???
i very bad at describing myself plus this is the first time i write a blog....
Okeyy....since i written this about myself below already but i going to write this "about me" one more time.
My name is Cheng Khai Wen....my nicknames are "double A A3 paper", "Mosquito" etc. but i prefer people call me "Wen"...FCM Alpha year....in what school??OF COURSE in MMU...
Why am i in FCM?? This is because when i was 7, i saw an anime call "Gundam Seed" and i was kinda like thinking "How they do this??" and so i was 12, "Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children" and "Gundam Seed Destiny" was released. This time i was gone crazy on them and started to learn how to draw. At my secondary school time, i use up most of my time learn how to draw. After i saw my friend who can draw even better then me, i was introduce to MMU by my cousin and i take this foundation to learn MORE about drawing plus CG !!!

I'm a Buddhist and my birthday is 4 June. So this make me a Gemini, and many of the characteristic of Gemini is same as me...Well...I'm hyperactive, childish, insane, happy-go-lucky, optimistic (to a stupid level MOST of the time) and friends described me as "Siao Kia"(in english is Crazy Kid)

P/S:I never angry before in my life~~but i have felt angry once in secondary school and i kinda freak out my friends that time~~so i hope that won't happen in MMU. Plus i am not a short-temper boy~~please don't make me angry. Trust me, you will regret.

Okeyy~~i love to play games(almost every games i play before)~~~i just love to play games~~~like DotA, GunZ, RO, SDO-X etc. Arcade i also got play~~i even have a "Initial D" ver. 3 and 4 card~~so who got play "Initial D" when free we can go race~~i am a super-otaku freak~~most of the time you will saw me sitting down watch anime or comic or sometimes learning how to speak japanese and i also collect figure that cost me ALOT !!! If not mistaken, around RM2000+++ i spend on my figure collection~~~(i still didn't count my spending on anime staff like comic or anime DVD yet)
Well...i think i will stop here...hope you guys like this blog....and i hope we can all be friend...don't be scare to be friend with me...i am not "Sephiroth"(those who played or watch "Final Fantasy 7" will know what kind of person is "Sephiroth")~~i am "Cloud Strife"(just kidding)
